Aug. 10, ’25 Salon La Mer
On 10th of August, “La Mer Singing Concert” was held successfully, with 8 people!
It was so much fun to get together and sang various songs we love. I was very pleased to be with my good friends who understood my clear intention on the concert. They helped me achieving my small but precious goal.
Oct. 26, ’24 Salon
It was so wonderful to talk about many things with my voice teacher . But, I deeply regret that I did not take any photos.
She finnaly came and got into my house. It seemed she was a bit surprised when she saw me in real, maybe was shocked about my appearance and my life in wheelchair. But she quickly understood the situation and accepted the real. Then our conversation was the same as before, about California, America’s problems, life in Kamakura, Jessica Family, etc. etc.
I asked her to sing, but she did not. I undestand she wants to sing more sophisticated atomosphire. She said that “I will come again with Takeuchi-san!” I appreciate her words, and am looking forward to their visit!!
The visit was a quite emotional one, as I felt sad when she left my house.
Mar. 2, ’24 Salon
On the 2nd of March, unexpected short, but fun “Salon” with my good female friend. Before coming to my house she sent me a photo of early Cherry blossoms she took near the Kamakura Dankazura. So pretty. We talked a lot, then sang Italian songs and some German Lieds. Good for my voice. It is always a great fun to see my friends. I thank them a lot!

御霊神社祭禮とお面
<Kamakura Blogより> 9月18日は、御霊神社の祭神である「鎌倉権五郎景政（ごんごろうかげまさ）公」の命日です。四年ぶりに御霊神社の面掛行列（めんかけぎょうれつ）が行われ、正午から境内で例大祭、13時から鎌倉神楽とも呼ばれる湯立神楽（ゆだてかぐら）、その後、面掛行列が行われた。
私はなぜか右の男の鬼の面の悲しそうな表情に惹きつけられた。

ここに伝わる面は、伎楽の影響を伝えるもので「明和5年(1768年)」の銘があり、たいへん貴重です。（「鎌倉観光協会」サイト）
この「面掛行列」では、笛・太鼓のはやし連中の後に白い幟旗の竹をかつぐ白装束、わらぞうりばきの少年、天狗の面をかぶった猿田彦や獅子頭をかつぐ人に続き、10人の面掛衆が爺・鬼・異形・鼻長・烏天狗・翁・火吹男・福禄寿・おかめ・女の順で練り歩きます。おかめ・女の2人は女装ですが、いずれも男性が努めます。
前の8人は揃いの頭巾に赤い袴姿で、黒っぽい着物に赤や金の美しい模様が入った袖なしの羽織を着ています。おかめは黒紋付の裾模様でおなかを大きくふくらませて両手でかかえながら歩く妊婦、後の女は産婆役で扇であおいだり、おかめの腹をなでたりおどけたかっこうをしてあとに続きます。供には役員が菅笠をかぶり裃姿に白足袋をはき、宮司は赤・他の神官たちはうす紫・うす茶色の狩衣に黒えぼしという美しい行列が160mも続き、ゆるく移動していきます。

The season of Hydrengea ’23
