The sky was blue, roses were in full bloom! It’s been for a while since I went out last. I visited a friend’s house in near Natsuyama.

訪問者ひとりの静かなSalon。10数年来の友人と5，6年ぶりの直接会話。病気のこと・海外医療費事情・リハビリのこと、社会情勢のこと、オペラのこと(これは途切れてしまって残念)、家族のこと、友人との交流などを落ち着いてゆっくり話した。互いに不自由なところを抱えつつも、「限界までできるだけがんばる」と思っていることが同じだった。どう生きるかは個人の意欲・意志にかかっている。やっぱり「自分で、できるところまでやるしかない」が印象に残った。良かった。楽しい会合もいいけれど、静かに落ち着いて話をするのもやっぱり素晴らしい。心に響く。
Mar. 31, ’24 Salon
久しぶりの仲良し3人のSalon。今回は「朗読」も入り格調高く楽しかった。ここにきてくれる人はみんな何かを持っているので楽しいのだ。Salonとなる所以だ。
ここの住まいの良いところ、住人の情報、俳句の先生のこと、膝痛のこと、子供のころのことなど。歌は、シューベルトの野ばら、朧月夜、荒城の月、サンタルチアの4曲。ロシア民謡「道」の練習をお勧めした（押し付けた?）Fumikoさんの声がよくでていたので、次回独唱をお願いした。
Mar. 2, ’24 Salon
On the 2nd of March, unexpected short, but fun “Salon” with my good female friend. Before coming to my house she sent me a photo of early Cherry blossoms she took near the Kamakura Dankazura. So pretty. We talked a lot, then sang Italian songs and some German Lieds. Good for my voice. It is always a great fun to see my friends. I thank them a lot!

Jan. 11 Salon meeting
Academic Meeting with Prof.Ghimire. The topics were sometimes too difficult for me to interprite. Had hard time!
Sylviane came with him and I asked her to teach me French! I asked her to send photros of their journy to Sri Lanka.

5年ぶりぐらいに会う友人が、訪ねて来てくれた。得意のスケッチ画をたくさん持ってきてくれて、小さいころのこと、学生時代のこと、仕事、旅行、音楽、絵の描き方まで教えてもらった。2時間半のいい時間だった。

November 01, Salon without attendance
(11/1 友人へのメールより) 同じマンションに住む旧友が、お花（マンションの居住者が共有花壇で、自分が育てているコスモスなどの切り花）とお菓子を持って自宅を訪ねてきてくれました。1か月に１回ぐらい来てくれていたのですが、10月は私が遠慮して連絡をしなかったら、具合が悪いとでも思ったのか「大丈夫？」と訪ねてきてくれたのです。玄関に出ていき「ほら、大丈夫よ」と言いましたら、「あら、大丈夫そうね」みたいに私を見ていました。何と有難いことかとうれしく思っております。
